Alert Action Triggers
Alert action triggers are used to trigger an output on a device based on the alert threshold of function being triggered.
On the same device or a seperate device:
This system can be used to trigger an output or “button” on the device the Gateway is attached to, or be used to trigger an output on a device attached to a different Gateway.
Note: this system runs on the cellular network so having good communications between the Gateway and the Cloud is vital to the opperation.
Uses:
- Turning a digital output on/off based on a threshold value of an analogue input.
- Eg. Turning a pump on when when a tanks water level drops to 30% level
How to setup:
Start by navigating to the Alerts page on your device, and then follow the alert setup procedure (Here)
At the bottom end of the alert setup there will be an option to
Once this box is ticked there will be an umber of options available to choose from.
The 1st being the trigger action to be done on the same device or on a different one. If on a different device is chosen then use the search bar to search for the appropriate device, if not then proceed to the step below
Select the action to trigger on the alert trigger. This select action will bring up a list of the output buttons on the device,
Note: The button must be enable on the live screen to show up in this menu.
Once the appropriate action is selected we can save the alert and its setup to trigger and output based on the alert setup.
